Different from previous governing bodies the current '''SteerCo''' has no chairman or a unofficial or hidden leader. The member that puts an issue for discussion, takes the lead on the topic. This includes calling for input, writing summaries, trying to reach a common agreement, keeping the discussion going if a standstill is noticed, calling for a final vote and eventually announcing the result on the forums and [[LDraw]]'s homepage.

The LDraw.org Steering Committee, sometimes abbreviated as SteerCo, is a group of people which get elected on a regular basis.

These people steer the direction into which ldraw.org is moving.

Note that that is something different than dealing with technical specifications. These instead are taken care of by the LDraw.org Standards Committee.
