Design ID

A Design ID is a special number LEGO assigns to a specific [[mould].

Therefore, parts with the same design ID can appear in different colors.

LDraw aims to use the design ID numbers for numbering its official parts.

When that number is unknown, we create an "artificial" placeholder number, starting with the letter "u", followed by a unique placeholder number.
